Being a part of an existing church gives us the benefit of having strong programs already developed. In addition to music, drama, men and women’s ministries, there are opportunities for youth and children, for people to serve in mission, and study groups for all to explore their faith. We hope you will find ways to use your God-given gifts to honor God.
Come and join in this new adventure of faith. We will welcome you with open arms and open hearts.
Blessings,
Revs. Diane and Jerry Zehr
A Message from Our Campus Pastor
The Power of the
Cross...
1 Corinthians 1:18, 25 says: “I know very well how foolish it sounds to those who are lost, when they hear that Jesus died to save them. But we who are saved recognize this message as the very power of God. This so-called ‘foolish’ plan of God is far wiser than the wisest plan of the wisest person, and God in his weakness—Christ dying on the cross—is far stronger than any person.”
I agree. A cross does not seem to have much power. It is a symbol for the loss of dignity and life. The Son of God dying on one looks weak and foolish. Surely, it cannot do anything for us? Right? But the opposite proves to be true. God’s love shines through the cross. It winds up changing humankind. It heals us. It saves us. For this reason, we examine the cross of Christ for the season of Lent. Devotionals are available. Our Sunday school classes reflect on it. And it is the focus of our worship services.
